The Safe Pass course is completed in one full day, typically starting in the morning at 7:45 am for registration and finishing in the afternoon at 16:00 pm. You must attend the full course to be certified.
Safe Pass training is delivered at central Galway locations with easy access and parking. Full venue details are provided after booking and before the course date.
A Safe Pass card is valid for 4 years from the date of issue. After it expires, you must complete the Safe Pass course again to remain compliant.
You must bring:
A valid photo ID (passport or driving licence)
Your PPS number on an official document
Comfortable clothing for a classroom-based course

Yes. There is a short multiple-choice assessment at the end of the day to confirm understanding of key safety topics. The instructor fully prepares you during the course. you get 20 questions and you must get 14 right to pass the exam
After completing Safe Pass training in Galway, your details are submitted to SOLAS. Your Safe Pass card is posted to you, usually within a few weeks. You will receive a letter of completing leaving on the day of the course this will allow you to enter onto a building site until you receive your SOLAS Safe Pass Card
